CALL TO ORDER

Mr. Broshar called the meeting to order at 10:18. Five Committee members were present. The agenda was approved. The minutes from the March 13, 2019 meeting were approved.

Ms. Santizo gave the Program Manager’s Report dated April 2, 2019:

APPLICATIONS

Scott County Family Y // Downtown Davenport YMCA

Project representatives provided an update on project financing. The Scott County Family Y will obtain a mortgage on the new facility to close the fundraising gap. A letter was provided as documentation; however, a formal commitment will not be available until underwriting processes are completed. On a motion by Ms. Hein, seconded by Ms. McGann, the Board awarded Scott County Family Y // Downtown Davenport YMCA a $500,000 CAT Grant, contingent upon the receipt of a financing commitment letter by October 1, 2019. Mr. Carter abstained from the vote.

Iowa Asian Alliance & Riverfront Development Authority // Asian Garden Enhancement

Project representatives provided an update on project fundraising. The City of Des Moines made a monetary pledge to the project. On a motion by Mr. Boone, seconded by Ms. Hein, the Board awarded Iowa Asian Alliance and Riverfront Development Authority // Asian Garden Enhancement a CAT grant of $92,500.

Milford Commercial Club & City of Milford // Millstone Park

Project representatives provided an update on fundraising. The City of Milford provided an additional $20,000 to the project. On a motion by Ms. McGann, seconded by Mr. Carter, the Board awarded Milford Commercial Club and City of Milford // Millstone Park a CAT grant of $82,500, contingent upon the completion of fundraising within 60 days. Mr. Boone abstained from the vote.

CLOSING BUSINESS
The next CAT Committee meeting is tentatively set for May 8, 2019 at the Urbandale Public Library.

On motion by Ms. Hein seconded by Mr. Carter with no objection, the meeting adjourned at 11:07 am.
