CALL TO ORDER
Mr. Broshar called the meeting to order at 9:32 a.m. Five Committee members were present. The agenda was approved. The minutes from the July 29, 2020 meeting were approved.

Small Population Area Applications

APPLICATIONS
City of Holstein // Holstein Aquatic Center
Project representatives provided an initial presentation of the project to the Board. Discussion included the existing pool, the pedestrian entrance, and the plan for a public fundraising campaign. The Committee encouraged the applicant to provide all fundraising information, so that it can be reflected in the Board’s materials and to proceed with planned fundraising activities.
Jackson County Fair Association // Jackson County Fair & Extension / 4-H Outreach Center
Project representatives provided an initial presentation of the project to the Board. Discussion included the existing facilities and unmet needs, the potential uses of a commercial kitchen, naming rights, and other fundraising activities. The committee asked for a copy of the proposed floor plan of the building.
Woodbine Community Foundation, Woodbine Community School District, and City of Woodbine // Woodbine Regional Wellness Center
Project representatives provided an initial presentation of the project to the Board. Discussion included the history and planning for the project and the proximity to the school and other amenities. The Committee complimented the ambitious fundraising efforts to date but noted that the Board typically expects a stronger commitment from the county for a project of this size and scope.
