UA19-02 |
Matt Rasmussen stated this was a 100% voluntary annexation into the City of North Liberty. It’s approximately 58 acres, plus adjacent right-of-way. There is one private home and an electric power substation within the annexation area. It’s consistent with the annexation agreement between North Liberty and Tiffin and will help address a pressing need for additional development area within the corporate limits. City sanitary sewer service is under design for a large area, including this annexation, with construction anticipated for FY21. Water service was extended with the Kansas Avenue reconstruction project mentioned above. All other typical City services will be provided by the City upon annexation, including street maintenance, police, fire, garbage pickup, building inspections & enforcement and others. Mr. Rasmussen reported that it does appear to be complete and properly filed. Tracey Mulcahey, Assistant City Administrator for the City of North Liberty, was present to answer questions from the Board. |
